We are Tina Wehrs and McKenzie Bowman, and this is our Nashville Pet Spa story!
Tina and McKenzie began their journey as Professional Dog Caretakers back in 2013 in La Crosse, WI. They met and began working at their first Pet Spas together where they took their mutual vision of a socialized "home away from home" for peoples' beloved fur babies. This was back at a time where "kenneling" your dog was something you HAD to do, certainly not something you or your dog WANTED to do; back when "kenneling" meant your pup had to stay locked in a 4x4 chain link kennel with concrete floor, being let out only a couple times a day to potty.
Their vision was to create a safe, healthy, FUN environment where a dog could be a dog, and where they would LOVE to go, second only to home! They created that environment in three Spas in Wisconsin, where they had great success in their business, but eventually life took them South.
Fast forward to 2018, when they both made their way to the Nashville area, and the Nashville Pet Spa was born! After moving to the area, they both realized there was no home away from home facility offered for the pups there. When they first opened their doors, they had one mission...to treat each and every dog that came through the NPS doors as one of their very own. They opened with six staff including themselves, and served about 10-20 dogs a day. Over their first five years, They have grown the business to two locations, 55 team members, and serve over 150 dogs and clients every day. They have grown in size, but they have never strayed from their sole mission of providing the safest, healthiest, most fun and social environment where every dog is treated like their very own!
Today, they are wholly invested in the day to day operations of the Nashville Pet Spas. They are committed to the growth and development of theyr amazing Professional team, who are continually attending educational seminars and classes where they learn and put into practice the highest industry standards. The Management team is Canine CPR and First Aid certified, as well as certified in Infectious Disease Control in Animal Facilities. They are continually learning and providing the team with learning opportunities to ensure clients are getting the BEST care anywhere!
They have built the Nashville Pet Spa around the core mission to provide the absolute best care for clients and fur babies, as well facilitate a top notch work environment for the entire team! A place where people can be proud to work, because no matter what, the dogs and their care always come first!
Mckenzie lives in Lebanon and is mama to her three 2-legged kiddos Kylie, Blakely, and Baylor. She has four pups of her own as well! Tina lives in Pleasant View (the PV Spa is actually located on her farm), and is mama to her three pups, three horses, and chickens! They both also share a great desire to help the homeless pet overpopulation in every way possible , so they are always fostering several rescue dogs at all times!
They both strongly credit the success of the Nashville Pet Spa to the entire #WOOFpack team! They truly strive to create a family amongst the Staff, and it shows in every aspect of care at NPS.
